Version 6.4 Release - what’s new on Modo?

Our latest product release unlocks an entirely new way to engage with Modo, plus some smaller updates to other areas of the platform.

Modo Insights on Mobile 📲

Until today, Modo has essentially only been accessible to users on laptops and desktop computers. This works for the majority of our users, who tend to access Modo while at work (we see this in our analytics, with most of our logins happening between 9am-4pm, M-F). But we also know that work is becoming increasingly flexible, non-office based and that employees are finding clever ways to stay productive while fitting work into their busy daily lives. We know this first hand, as our team at Modo are prolific consumers of content, the majority of which we find and engage with on our phones.

That’s why we are very pleased to announce that you can now access the Modo platform from your mobile phone! Just visit our landing page on your phone and login using our new mobile-friendly sign-in pages. You will be able to access our entire catalogue of Modo Insights (both written and video content) while on the go. We hope this means that you can explore more of the in-depth research our team is putting out while you are on the tube, at the airport or at the dentist's office.

You can now access Modo Insights on your mobile.

Markets Overview

We have made it easier to compare prices available across all the markets that batteries can participate in by looking at a single graph. By normalising pricing to £/MW/hour and showing 12 months of historic data for DC, FFR, BM, Nordpool and EPEX Spot, you can easily see trends and changes in where the money lies for battery assets. Clicking on a legend item turns on/off the series, allowing you to view just the markets that you are interested in.

You can also add and remove any of these markets from the graph by clicking on the dot next to the requisite market.

Velkommen Norge! 🇳🇴

With the historic new HVDC interconnector between Norway and the UK, it was time for us to get Norway on the map! Live data showing power flows plus handy arrows make it easy to see which way the electrons are moving.

We’ve added the new HVDC Norway-UK interconnector to our map, and have begun uploading live data to our Interconnectors section.

Here at Modo, we’re constantly trying to improve, and your feedback is our most valuable tool when doing this. If there’s anything we can do to make your life easier, please let us know. Similarly, if you have any ideas for future Insights - articles or videos that you would like to see - please drop us a line through our platform chat function. We hope to hear from you soon!
