MISO August 2026 benchmark: the North-South BESS revenue gap closed to 3%
The gap between MISO North and MISO South battery revenue closed in August. A BESS in MISO North could have earned $344/MW-day against $334/MW-day in MISO South, a 3% gap that stood at 83% in July.

The Indiana Hub day-ahead four-hour top-bottom (TB4) spread fell 62% from July's $619/MW-day to $235/MW-day, and day-ahead energy revenue fell with it. BESS could have earned $10.7/kW-month in MISO North and $10.4/kW-month in MISO South, up 4% from July.
