Virtual asset benchmarks are now nodal across all US ISOs
You can now create a virtual asset at a specific node across seven US ISOs: ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO, and ISO-NE.
Set the location alongside your battery's duration, efficiency, cycling limits, and market participation.
Why is it useful?
A battery's revenue opportunity depends on where it connects to the grid. A nodal virtual asset helps you:
- Benchmark a real asset against the market prices it actually faces at its connection point.
- Compare the same battery configuration across candidate nodes to assess how location affects project economics.
- Understand how battery revenues change under current market conditions.
How to create a virtual asset
- Click the + next to Benchmarks & Assets.
- Select Virtual asset.
- Choose your region and node.
- Enter the details of your battery and grid connection.
- Name your benchmark.
- Set the visibility to Personal or Company.
