Virtual assets and forecast creation in the Modo Energy MCP
The MCP now covers much of what Ko can do in the Terminal. New in the MCP:
- Query virtual assets, custom benchmarks, and regional BESS indices
- Search assets by power, duration, and company, including historical ownership and operating state
- Create new forecasts, and view and compare existing forecast runs
- Explore long-term market outlooks by pulling Modo Energy's World View data
- Find and read saved Terminal reports and artifacts
- Find and read podcast transcripts, help documents, FX rates, and glossary definitions
Why it's useful
The MCP brings Modo Energy's data and research into the AI tool you already use. With the MCP you can:
- Work in your own AI tools: search assets, compare forecasts, and draw on saved Modo Energy reports in the AI tool where you're already working.
- Combine Modo Energy data with your own: bring asset ownership data, benchmarks, forecasts, and World View alongside your portfolio spreadsheet or financial model, and let your AI tool reason across both.
- Feed agentic and automated workflows: give your agents (Copilot Studio agents, Claude Code, etc.) access to more Modo Energy capabilities, from creating forecasts to retrieving market research, as steps in the workflows your team already runs.
