ERCOT: BESS capacity grows to 8.5 GW in the first four months of 2025

From January through April 2025, 563 MW of battery energy storage capacity became commercially operational in ERCOT. This brought the system total to 8,461 MW of rated power and 12,780 MWh of energy capacity.
