For grid-scale batteries in Great Britain, the Winter Triads offer one of the highest £/MW revenue opportunities of the year - batteries can earn up to £10.9k/MW across just 90 minutes. But, in winter 2024/25, the average revenue capture rate for batteries was only 36%.

While some operators earned over £4.8k/MW, most missed out - due to unpredictable timings, demand shifts, and stronger returns in other markets.
