ERCOT September 2026 BESS benchmark: Real-Time spreads hold at $80/MWh as load climbs 13% YoY; July revenues settle at $1.42/kW-month
​September in ERCOT delivered volatility that was nearly on par with August. Real-Time TB1 spreads averaged $80/MWh, 7% below August but 31% above September 2025. Day-Ahead TB1 spreads averaged $54/MWh, up 6% year-over-year, driven by demand growth.
Average battery revenues were $1.42/kW-month in July, the latest month with settled revenues. That is 28% above June’s record low of $1.11/kW-month and 30% below July 2025.
